The "Eras de la Sal" Torrevieja
The Eras de la Sal precinct is one of the most emblematical places of TORREVIEJA since the history of the town is clearly bound to this spot which has little by little adapted to the needs of the inhabitants.
The area we are referring to has evolved in time with the growth of the town, and nowadays is known as the "Habanera Temple", the place where the traditional habanera songs seem to sound better. It is the place where the Habaneras International Contest is celebrated every year, and sometimes it also holds the performances of relevant musicians and actors.
The Eras de la Sal precinct is located in the centre of town, near the Watersports Club next to the Paseo Vista Alegre. In 1998 was presented a project for the remodelation of the enclosure, where the Sea and Salt museum .
