Walking through Torrevieja

Most people come to Torrevieja looking for the sea. First they visit the plaza de la Constitución, between the Town Hall and the Inmaculada church. Then they walk down until the Paseo Vistalegre, where they can visit the Club Náutico and the Casino. They will continue towards the Paseo de la Libertad, where street markets sell all kinds of exotic items. But when they cross the street they realise something has changed. Now the deep look of the Seaman calms the fury of the waves. There is the Bella Lola too, sitting on the bench forever. The Torrevieja coast has changed in this area. At daytime the rolling-skaters and passers-by make the most of the promenade. And those people longing for a swim too. In the afternoon, the youngsters gather under the palmtrees and enjoy a huge strawberry icecream. But many people prefer the place when it is getting dark. The soft lights in a night that sounds like a blues. Like those ships with the sound of the habanera, setting on a journey and longing for the return to Torrevieja.
